Sponsor-paid cases for South Carolina measures, with who pays shown first.
Each page covers one local measure: a school, road, water, public-safety or other tax or bond vote. One sponsor makes its case for it, in the open, and you decide.
What a page here is
- One sponsor's case for one local measure, under the sponsor's own name. Who paid comes first, before any headline or argument.
- Every factual claim is checked against a named source and dated, including claims inside the sponsor's own argument. Fact, estimate and argument are labelled apart.
- The serious arguments on the other side are summarised on the page, and the other side's own material is linked.
- No account, no advertising trackers, nothing stored in your browser.
Whose side we are on
The side of the sponsor who hires us on that measure, and we say so on every page.
We take one sponsor per measure, Yes or No, never both. Once a sponsor takes a measure, the other side of that measure is closed to us. Different measures can go different ways.
This site carries Yes-side cases in South Carolina. No-side cases in South Carolina run at NoInSouthCarolina.com, under the same rules and the same checks.
What we take on, and what we do not
We take on: a backer of one local or regional tax or bond measure in South Carolina, on the Yes side, who will put its name first and let every factual claim be checked.
- Not candidates, parties or primaries.
- Not a government office or public body as a sponsor.
- Not an employer campaigning about its own workforce.
- Not a second sponsor on a measure we already carry, and never the other side of it.
- Not anyone who wants a ruling, a rating, an endorsement or a change to the official text.
If a measure or a sponsor does not fit, we say so before any agreement.
What we are not
Not a political party, and not for one. Not a candidate site. Not a government office, and not an official guide. For when and where to vote, use the election officials' own information.
A sponsor cannot buy a ruling, an endorsement, a rating, a change to official text or a place in a list. Money buys a voice, never a verdict.
Where things stand
No campaign is running in South Carolina yet. A state opens when a sponsor there is accepted.
If you back a measure in South Carolina
Write to yesintheus@gmail.com. Tell us the measure, the vote date and the side you are on.
We will tell you what a page costs, what you approve (your own argument, and only that) and what you cannot change (the official text, the check labels and the other side's arguments).
Short answers
- Is Yes in South Carolina a political party, or part of one?
- No. It publishes one sponsor's case on one local tax or bond measure. It takes no position on candidates or parties, and it is not a government office.
- Who pays for a page?
- The sponsor named at the top of it. Each sponsor pays for its own campaign. No government office pays us or speaks through us.
- Does Yes in South Carolina ever argue the No side?
- Not on this site. No-side cases in South Carolina run at NoInSouthCarolina.com, under the same rules. We never take both sides of one measure: the first sponsor we accept on a measure sets the side, and the other side of that measure is closed to us.
